So one of the things I'm working on is my turn around time! So far if it's anything bigger then a drag around blanket it's taken me 3 years to get it finished and returned to the intended reciepiant! Good thing none are paying customers!
I finally got caught up on the housework and decided to put my sister's quilt on the frame I realized I hadn't sewn the backing fabric up. When I shook out the fabric we had purchased 3 years ago, there was only 2 yards of fabric! My sister's quilt is a queen size quilt! At least I have an excuse to go to the quilt shop in a neighboring town I've been wanting to check out! |
oh that could be fun! :):):)

WOW, road trip!

I hardly ever buy my backing fabric because I never know what size it really is going to end up being. I'm one that kinda follows a pattern but not always. have fun!! I also often block my backing by putting some of the front material in blocks into the back.

Now I understand why you don't get your quilting projects done. Housework should never take priority!

I never purchase backing fabric at the same time as project fabric.
