I also recommend you get a book. These quilts are easy but there are some tricks in sewing them together. I made one in Oct. @ a sewing retreat and finished the top in two days.

I have French Braid on my to-do list too! They are beautiful patterns

I made a table runner that I didn't know was a french braid. Was looking for the pattern because I remember it was free. Found it on quilt bus. I am teaching my granddaughter how to sew and this is going to be her project.

ealanor burns has one thats easy to do you can even use a jelly roll i cant wait to get mine done unfortunatly im swamped right now with xmas oh well it will be over soon.

Wow, thanks for posing the question about French braid quilts and thanks to all of the recommendations. I am planning to make a French braid quilt for each of my long, narrow windows by my front door. Guess I will have to get one of Jane Hardy Miller's books.
