Fun Quilt Idea?
 

So I was thinking. I know, scary. What if you had a bunch of squares and/or HST, threw them up un the air, then straightened into rows where they land and sewed then into a quilt with reckless abandon?

I don't like scrappy, but I an thinking about trying this.

Why not. Sounds like fun anyway.

Very similar to the paper bag method, where you toss everything in a paper bag, shake it up, then whatever you pull out is what you use.

Nothing ventured.... nothing gained. Keep us posted if you decide to go for it.

what have you got to lose if you try this? a few minutes of your time? go for it. Even if you don't love it, I'm sure someone will (not being sarcastic). Sounds like a fun experiment.

oh i think it would be neat. i like scapy.

I do the paper bag for my string quilts. I have noticed that there are a lot of whites and blacks in the bags. May take them out and just do a black and white quilt. I just may throw the HST's I'm making and see what happens. It could be very liberating. Someone who is OCD may have trouble doing that.

I definitely have a strong touch of OCD. LOL. That's why throwing up unstead of using the bag technique is the challenge part. It will a while for me to try. I have a customer quilt and 2 other projects to do first. :)
