We made a quick trip to Amarillo and started home on Saturday. Stopped to have lunch in Portales NM and saw a sign for a quilt show. So after a fast lunch dh and I found the show. What great quilts and everyone was so friendly. They did a great job in putting on the show. It is amazing how creative we can be in making quilts.

Glad you made the side trip. Also made the trip to Portales for the quilt show. It isn't a huge show but as you said the people are very friendly and the quilts are beautiful. I loved their display of old quilts and patterns. I thought this years show was excellent. My daughter had two quilts in the show and received a 2nd place ribbon on one--she was very pleased.
