I have always used the 505 spray and liked it, the last time I was in a quilting store that I frequently go to, they say they only use the fusible batting on their quilts. It certainly would be easier than the spray. Just wonder what you all think of it? Thanks for any thoughts.

I did not like using fusible batting. Once I found spray basting , I never fussed with it again. It just seemed to be more trouble than I thought it would be.... and did not stay fused they way I had hoped.

I do like fusible batting, but only for small projects (table runners, placemats). I use 505 spray for larger projects.

Good to hear what everyone's thoughts are.

I didn't like it. Didn't stay fused and was very stiff. Hard to needle through.

Check out this question from me about fusible with picture of batting
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-108973-1.htm

The Texas lady's comments were good ones and I finally got it to work thanks to her, finally decided to make my placemats with it. They are stiff. When you wash it, it gets a little softer. But I would not use it for a quilt.

I may join the 505 club after just pinning my first quilt!
