Hello everyone

Can you please help me with ideas for a gift.
I need to purchase a gift for my cousin who likes to quilt but I have absolutely NO IDEA what.

She goes for classes, and has made a completed quilt - if that kind of tells you what level she's at.

I thought maybe getting her a book... do you have any recommendations? or any other ideas other than a book?

And any sites (in the States) where I can purchase the items.

Thank you for your time, and help.

I think the best thing is to get a small basket, and put FQ, some thread and of course some sweets, and maybe a gift card to your local craft store,,, Just an idea,, (as a new quilter, I would like that,, :-D )

How about a gift card she can use to buy fabric?

Gift cards would work.

I like the gift basket idea, but it is true that fabric is a real personal preference and if you know what she likes that is great if not the gift card along with some threads, treats, etc. is a really good idea. There are a zillion different quilting books but again it is hard to buy one for someone else. Is she taking classes at a local quilt shop then perhaps they could help with item selection.

I like getting a fat quarter bundle from the fabric store with thread to match. It challenges me to find just the right pattern. Or even today a jelly roll and a jelly roll book would be a great present. Be sure and ask for the newest released book so you don't have the chance of duplicating what she might already have. Quilters aren't fussy, we love to be challenged with something new and unique.

See if there's anything here you think she might like:

I was going to say maybe a charm pack and tie a gift card up with it!

THANK YOU SO MUCH everyone... I appreciate your help very much, these are all great ideas. I love the site too Judy.

... Kathy when you mention "jelly roll" to a non-quilter - we definitely don't think fabric..haha :D But now that I looked it up I may go with something like that, plus a few other things.

Thanks again ladies.
