I have one of these, with a fine tip. I want to use it to help match points. What kind of glue should I put in it?
Thanks |
Elmers school glue. Then heat set with your iron. When you are finished, it washes right out!
|
I use Elmer's or any other white, washable school glue. :D:D:D
Heat set with a dry iron. |
Elmer's

What happens if you don't heat set it?

School Glue and basting glue are not glues at all. It it a thick starch. So thick that you can dilute a bottle of Elmer's School glue to make a gallon or more of heavy starch.
|
I use a glue stick (Elmer's washable). Instant bond, no iron or dry time. I'm into instant gratification!!!
|
I didn't know that!!! And the glue is so cheap I'm going to try it. I mix my own starch and prefer it to spray starch.

It has to be diluted enough so it won't stick to your iron and burn. Start with a teaspoon and keep adding water until you find the right ratio. It works but I prefer the regular spray starch.

I think that one may be a permanent glue, I would make sure before using as it would not wash out if it is permanent. I also use a teflon ironing sheet when using this sort of thing so it does not get on my iron. |

Roxanne's holds without heat setting. I have used it both ways and never had it be permanent, I could pull it apart. I do like Roxanne's better then Elmer's.
