Does anyone know if this would be good set up for $1500. It's five years old.

I've machine quilted with my Janome 6600P just not on a frame.

The above one I found for sale on craigslist and was thinking about it but was wondering if anyone has the set up and what they think about it.

Thanks so much!!

I looked these up and new they would be about 1900.00 from Sew Vac Direct. I guess you need to decide if you want to save about 400.00 and buy used or if you want new. I have the Juki machine on a Grace frame and love it. Works great for me. Maybe someday I would like to get a long arm though.

You should find out how many quilts the owner did with that machine. A sewing machine on a frame can still LOOK new and be totally worn out inside. Also find out how often it's been serviced.
IMHO

IMHO I think that's a bit pricey for a 5 year old machine if you can get one new for $400 more. I think I've seen this set up for sale locally on CL for $1000, used.

I think you should be able to get it a little cheaper. I have both, and I honestly believe I will be buried with my Juki. I LOVE her. She drinks oil, and is all metal- I don't think you could wear this girl out in a lifetime!

I really like my set-up, but want a long arm in a while. I just want more space. I'm actually contemplating buying another Juki and stretching it. That's how much I love the Juki. And the Grace company is fabulous to work with- they answer all questions with "grace" and are very helpful.

I do not regret one penny of my purchase.

Does it come with accessories? (sure stitch, pattern perfect, etc)?
