Going on retreat tomorrow

I can hardly wait, I am leaving in the morning for a 4 day retreat with 6 other girls from my quilting beelet. This is our 3rd year doing this and we love it. It is after Thanksgiving and before the Christmas rush. Time for just us. I am probably taking too many projects (ha, ha). I always do. It's kinda like going to a buffet, you always think you can eat more than you can. Can't wait.

You are so lucky...I love quilting retreats. I'm the one who takes 10-15 projects and there some girls that come with one large project...and work on it the whole time!!

This is one of those rare occasions where less is not more! Your mood will vary during that luscious four days, your projects should, too. :D Wish I were going with you!

I am with Jan...variety of different projects is the key. I had brought one large project (lots of piecing of different blocks) and a few smaller projects for my first retreat. It was easy to get sleepy while working on the big project. Then I switched to something different which helped and then back to the large porject for a while. By the end of the retreat, I had done all my smaller projects and got the major piecing finished for the large quilt top. I went home a happy quilter:).
