I have been making baskets from clothesline (cotton preferred, but poly works), but it is getting hard to find inexpensive clothesline. Has anyone found it for a good price?

Walmart used to have 100ft for about $3, but they haven't had it for months. What they do have is about $8.

I had found some poly rope at Ace hardware for $2 for 72ft, but now they are out and they don't know when the next shipment will be.

I have not had any luck finding it online for a reasonable price.

Help.

I usually get mine at the flea markets. My WalMart hasn't had the clothesline for years.

Do you have any feed/farm supply stores nearby? Look where they have the rope...it may be cheaper there.

My Wmart doren't have clothesline either. I use the rope used for piping found in the home dec section at my Joann's. With a coupon it is pretty reasonable.

I get mine at Walmart in the sewing section. They sell it by the yard.

Dollar Tree has the plastic coated stuff that is about the right size.
