Gramma gets the hint
My grandsons, ages 4 and 6 have loved their quilts to death. The baby quilts I made them are in rags. So I have been collecting fabrics to make them I spy quilts, but I only told them that one day I will get some new ones made for them. Yesterday as I was making supper they were awfully quiet, so I went to see what kinda trouble that meant. They were in my quilt room, had my books all over the floor, looking through them. My first thought was, DON'T TOUCH MY BOOKS! But I really asked what they were doing? "Well gramma we are just looking to show you which blankie we want you to make."
Gotta love them! I think I better get at it! |
That's so cool .. that they would look through the books for what they wanted you to make them. You can be sure the quilts yo make them will be soo loved.

Yes, you'd better get their I Spy quilts done before they pick out a Double Wedding Ring or something else complex! They will love I Spy quilts!

I Spy time! I bet they'd Love to help choose and lay out the fabrics- what a great Forever Memory! Be sure to take lots of pics of them working. I sometimes sew with children, and when young they especially like to use the foot pedal while I guide the fabric. Have Fun.

How sweet that they love your quilts so much. my DGD is 20 mos. She has loved Yo Gabba Gabba from the time she was old enough ton watch tv. When my Keepsake Quilting came last week they had the Yo Gabba fabric, she saw it and took my book and was telling me the names of all the friends on it. I had ordered it as soon as I saw it and was so happy I did.

Very cute! Maybe get them interested in making them. They're old enough to start sewing or helping pick fabrics.
