Grandson's Christmas present

My grandson gifted me with these beautiful blocks of his handprint transformed into an owl sitting on a branch...any suggestions on how I can incorporate them into a quilt? Any suggestion would be appreciated...by the way isn't that the cutest thing you have ever seen (I know I'm biased but can't help myself)...by the way he gave me 4 blocks to work with...

A wall hanging. Very cute.

Okay, that's RIDICULOUSLY cute!

You could look for patterns that use panels, and treat the four blocks as the panels?

I just came across Judy Hopkins' book Design Your Own Quilts .... I know it's an older book (1998) but I'm slow .... it's given me a lot of ideas for mixing various blocks to make my own unique quilt.

ditto the suggestion for creating a wall hanging. Those are precious one-of-a-kind blocks! How lucky you are!

If those blocks were mine, I'd make a quilt for his Mother for next Christmas.
It would be fun to find fabric that has owls in it and/or a woodland scene.

I am one of those Grandmas who likes to put the things my DGC make for me up where I can see them, so I would go for a wall hanging. They are so cute.

That is to cute for words. I would make a wall hanging as I would be afraid it would fade/wash away. Wall hangings don't get washed much, if at all so it would be safe over the years.

You could make a pillow adding multiple fabric borders that coordinate with the room where you would like to keep it. My grandaughters each made me similar blocks with floral designs....I added borders that coordinated with their bedrooms and gave them as part of their birthday presents. Their mom was thrilled, I think, to get her precious daughters' artwork back as a permanent momento.

Photo copy them and make replica of his drawings using fabric and appliqué then you can turn it into a quilt that you use together when he visits :)
