Greek key design
I picked up a new book by Kim Schaefer titled Bright & Modern cozy Modern Quilts. She has the pattern and fabric requirements for a cute lap quilt featuring the Greek key design called Maze Madness. I know I have seen it elsewhere in a pattern and in Roman tile floors among other things. I am assuming a quilt made in this pattern would not be a copywrite violation if displayed? The written instructions would be but not the original design? I am just curious about what you all think. It is a great book by the way with lots of fun modern quilt designs.

where do you mean to display it?

It would certainly not be a copywrite violation.
If you chose to use the design in a quilt layout of your choice, you'd be safe on the copyright issue as well. ;-) |
If I display it at our upcoming quilt show, can I just put my name on it and what I name it OR will I still have to include the book, author etc?
|
I would think either way. Unless you used the pattern. Then include the book name
