A Green Featherweight?

My daughter found this at a flea market. Seller offered it to her for $280. Has anyone ever seen a green one? I think I should keep looking.

How green? There is a super pale green, practically white color. Any other green and it's a repaint. Which is fine if it was done well, you like it and it's in good working order. If you want an original paint job they only come in black, tan, and the pale green/white colors.

There is a white vintage Singer featherweight that has an extremely pale greenish tint to it (I wouldn't call it green, though!). It was sold in a two-tone green case -- green and off-white. I would call the machine itself an off-white.

It's a nice machine, just slightly different from the black models. It is still a featherweight. Some people prefer the blacks; some the white ones.

I have a picture of it, but can't post it.

If you can't figure out how to resize your picture to post here, then send me a PM & I'll try & post it for you.

The white featherweights have a very faint greenish tinge. Some people claim that theirs is more turquoise. If the machine is really green (not just slightly so) then it's either a FW that was painted or another machine. The Singer 185's made in the US and Canada were 3/4 size machines, and they were truly green. Here's a picture to compare your machine with - http://www.using-sewing-machines.com/Singer185.html
