Hi everyone,

The other day I was in one of the fabric stores I like to go to, and I picked up some really good flannel for quilts for my boys. One is a royal blue background with sports things on it, the other is a lighter blue background with footballs on it. I have two boys (15 and 12 yo) and they both like the fabrics. My question is, what kind of block is a "guyish" kind of block? I want these fabrics to be the focus for each quilt and I will put other fabrics with it. I am hoping to have these ready for Christmas.

Any suggestions on blocks would be helpful.

Thanks

The larger block of the D9P would be a good place to showcase the theme fabric.

Ditto to this and the Rail Fence.

I made a log cabin quilt for my DH years ago. He still has it in his truck.

If it's flannel, what about a rag quilt? They're fun and not girly. I made one out of homespuns for my son that he loves...and he's in his 30's now.
