Does anyone know of an online store or a website that has simple hand embroidered blocks? I am speaking of the type of blocks that use the simplest of embroidery stitches. Once the blocks are completed you incorporate them in a quilt.

Aunt Martha's transfers come to mind. They range from very simple to simply beautiful. When you google Aunt Martha's transfers, there are several sites for them, including ebay. As for the preprinted blocks, I haven't seen them in any stores for a while now, but, I'm sure someone sells them. Another solution, depending on what pattern you are looking for, is google free colouring pages and trace it onto fabric. This is what I did for the Sunbonnet Sue I am currently embroiderying. I hope this helps.

Aunt Marthas transfers are available at most Joanns stores and are very inexpensive

Are you just going to backstitch, stem stitch? I have found free ones on the internet.. Sentimentalstitches.com has nice ones. OR look online for free coloring pages.

I have bought some preprinted blocks at a store near me that is like the old dime store type stores. The website for the blocks is: http://www.fairwayneedlecraft.com
The Aunt Martha patterns are great and you can select your own fabric and cost would be better as well as fabric quality.

Check out Colonial Pattern Co. At one time they had preprinted blocks for embroidery and painting. You might also look at the preprinted mini wholecloth from The Stencil Co. These may be larger than you want and more detailed, some have completed them in embroidery. You might also check

I accidently came up on this one. I don't know if these are already embroideried or printed for embroidery. If you can't get it with the address above then look for ALC Quilt Shop
