Hand Quilting using Bee's wax?

I'm doing some Hawaiian Quilting for the TV program and wondered if I still should use bees wax on the thread. For the past 30 years I've been doing machine piecing and quilting but am doing a TV segment on Hawaiian quilting next week and trying to finish some examples.
Thanks,
Lady Elisabeth

Bees wax is good for all thread if hand sewing. Try Thread Heaven, it's much better in my opinion.

I only use it if I'm having trouble with the thread. I used metallic thread, so I used beeswax or Thread Heaven because the thread shredded so bad.

If you use thread heaven, be sure not to get it on your fingers - it's really hard to pull a loaded needle through because it slips right through your fingers. :(

I also use bees wax when handquilting only. But I have unlimited supply, my DH keeps bees. it certainly helps to keep my thread from tangling and knotting and it smells nice too.

Thanks for your advice. Now to see how many projects I can get finished before we tape the Quilting program.
I've never heard of thread heaven
