While it would work, I would think that you could get something much smaller and lighter and cheaper.

I use an old typing table I picked up at the company rummage sale for $10. Sides lift up, has wheels and a brace across the bottom that holds a box full of batting. Sure works well when I pull it over to my sewing table for ironing or cutting or holding up the other side of a heavy quilt.

Wish you could find a table like I have. It works very well in a sewing room. It's light, yet useful.

I have four of them (not in my sewing room, though). One from an antique store and three from eBay.

I love those carts Kathy!! I have one and they are so handy. I found mine at a rummage sale and it was rusted badly so I sanded it all down and repainted to make it look like new!!

Really looks like something for the garage, not a sewing roo.
I wouldn't like the sides on it. A little too "bulky" looking for a sewing room. I do love the color though!

If you have a Sam's Club near, they have the best organizer I have found. I have two of them. It is called a ten-drawer organizer. It is on wheels and each drawer is perfect for a project or the fabric for a project. Check them out on line.

This one also looks like it belongs in the garage. Not a sewing room. I really don't like the sides on the table. They have the sides on so your tools don't roll off. Exactly what are your plans for a table? Personally I like wood tables they make a room more inviting. I always check the thrift shops, they always have tables. For a sewing room bigger is better. Especially if you are going to set your machine on it.
Depends what you are going to use the table for.

I have the Antonius system from IKEA. It is inexpensive, and I raised the height of one of tables for one to fit under. I have 2 stacked in my stash closet. The wire baskets do NOT rust and it is easy to see what is in them. They are affordable and handy.

I also bought an inexpensive rolling kitchen cart that folds up at my local grocery store on sale. I can fold it up when I have company or roll it into another room. It is the perfect size for my 17" x 23" cutting boards with room left over. It has 2 shelves as well. It is my cutting center. I jsut didn't put on the side knife holder.
