I was looking at them online and they are just too pricey right now.
I know my husband could make one if he had the instructions but I haven't located any yet. Has anyone found any decent instructions for making one. I am interested in both the hand quilting and the machine quilting tables as I would like to try and do both. :) :) :) |
Here are a set of plans that you can purchase

If you go to youtube.com and type in free instructions on building a quilt frame there are a few on there, some are just ads so you have to wade through them.

I have been checking out You Tube. The site that MammaBear61 sent me looked very promising but my Norton came back that the site had 2 threats. If all else fails I will go back on the website on the old computer we have and get the info. The plans were only $20.00 and looked very complete. Very nice frame!
I did find one I really liked and printed out the picture. I e-mailed the fellow, Ken Lund. He sells a partial kit for $150.00 but lost me when he said I had to pick up extra parts locally. My husband just came up for lunch and he had taken the picture downstairs and started trying to make something similar. I didn't know he was doing this. He made the piece that holds the machine but now has to make the frame that holds the material and the machine slides back and forth on. Wish me luck! He did make my SIL and me an extension table, but this is much more complicated. :) :) :) |
Take a look at my avatar. My husband designed and built it just for me. He is working on a design for a machine frame as well. It is easy to store, easy to put together and take apart, and it tilts in either direction, so you can work on it from any angle. Plus, I can put it almost vertical so that my cats don't use the quilt as a hammock. LOL

Sounds like you will have a frame before long
