I got this at Goodwill, and cannot tell if it is hand painted, stamped, or off the bolt fabric. Has anyone seen this or one similar to it? It is a gauze-like fabric and the flowers have a stiffer texture and slightly raised. The flowers run the width of fabric, and there is nothing stamped in the selvage. I want to do something with this, but don't know whether to make a lap throw or a wall hanging, any ideas, anyone. Thank you

How wide is the fabric? It looks a little like old toweling- which is about 16-18 inches wide. It's very 50's. I love it.

It's 45" wide and 3 1/2yds long, having 4 of the flower towers. I think it may be an older fabric also, by the narrow selvages.

it looks like it was intended for home decoration. i'd say curtains, but the flower towers seem to be growing in the wrong direction.
since you described it a gausy, i'm not sure i'd use it for a quilt unless i reinforced it with muslin. it might be useful as a fussy cut fused applique on some nice wide borders, though. |
wow, that is pretty fabric

Looks like home decor to me too.

It might be great for tote bags if it is a little thicker.

I thought it might be home decor also, but the space between the flowers is too wide to be attractive. They cannot be cut straight apart, it would take tips of leaves off. To seperate them you would have to cut on the diagonal.

No, but its really pretty!

That is just beautiful. I don't know the fabric but it would make a beautiful quilt.
