I received a sample of byannie soft and stable--has anyone used it? What do you think?

I have it and like the feel of it, but I haven't had the chance to use it yet. Life keeps getting in the way, unfortunately.

I have sewed a pet bag with it (( I had posted a pic on this board) http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-108205-1.htm)) . I liked the firmness. I think it would work great for a purse! It now comes in black and white.

I've got a piece and keep waiting to use it. Every bag I make I try to see if it is the "perfect" one to make another with the Soft and Stable. It is so much more expensive than the fusible fleece that I don't want to waste it on a bag that I don't like.

what is it?

pattypurple 08-18-2011 05:20 PM

it is a foam interfacing for bag construction. Fabric on both sides of the foam for ease of sewing. Supposedly you don't need to quilt, just the stitching on the seams will hold it in place.

You can see more information on Annie Unrein's site, she even has a video clip showing the difference in the bags. As you say,Regina, life keeps getting in the way of trying it out. Hope I get a chance soon to test it. Anyone else tried it?
