Has Anyone tried Zen Quilting?

I saw this book, "Zen-sational Stitches for Quilting" on Amazon and also Clotilde. The technique looks interesting but I'm wondering if anyone has tried it. If you used the FMQ method, what did you think of it?

Two things come to mind.
Suggest you research "Zentangle" drawing technique first.
Second is your skill at freemotion quilting.
I would also try to find the book and flip through it before buying.
Zentangle is a "doodle" type of pencil or pen drawing. It is gaining in popularity. The headquarters or home base is not far from where I live and the originators have classes and retreats in the process.
I see that quilters are picking up the techinque and adapting it to quilting. It appears to be a background type quilting but more controlled into specific motifs and shapes.
It probably would be useful if you had a class in drawing Zentangles before attempting to take it to quilting.
This is my impression. I get the Zentangle emails and newsletter and try to keep up with the technique.

Thanks Holice,

After looking into this more, I think I'll try the basic drawing book first.
