Have any of you done applique with Whims patterns/kits?
I bought a few of Whims watercolor applique quilt kits, but have been too scared to start one! LOL.
Have any of you done the Whims kits? Was it difficult? Here's a link to their website so you'll know what I'm talking about. http://whims.cc/ |
Oooh, no, but I've wanted to, I hope someone posts pictures if they've done one. :)

I have used this general method, with my own designs. It is actualy relatively easy. Probably kit would be easier.

I would love to see photos also! :)

Whims is located near me (in Lebanon OR) and is a family business. One of the owners came to our quilt guild to show us their products and do a demo. Several members have since made one of their kits and reported that it was easy to make and fun to do too.

nothing to be scared of- they are actually kind of fun to make- i've done the cat one, one with a watercan with bouquet, one with a model-t car on an old country road and a fishy one. i have a couple on my shelves now waiting for the mood to strike :)
they are not difficult- buy one of the kits- they make it so simple- the instructions are clear- |
I'm going to dive in soon. I bought six of their kits over a year ago, but haven't had the nerve to start one. I'm always hesitant to try something new...always worried I'll screw it up! LOL.

Looked at the website - definitely want to buy at least one - then add it to my stack of kits, and quilts either started or waiting to start.
