Have you made a quilt from silk scarves?

I have inherited a wonderful collection of silk scarves and thought I might make a quilt. Has ideas, suggestions, pictures? Thanks.

I recently saw a giant dahlia quilt made of men's silk ties. It was quite pretty.

What is the weight of your silk? My silk scarves are much too delicate too make into a quilt.

I agree with Tanya, the silk scarves I have are very fragile for something like a quilt. I have seen cotton hankies made into quilts.

My thinking is that I could use a stabilizer and that it might be similar to making a t-shirt quilt. Gad! Why would I want to do that again. Any other ideas for silk scarves? I hate to give them away, but I won't wear them.

I saw an absolutely beautiful caftan made from scarves. The scraves had been sewed together lengthwise with a zigzag stitch to make yardage. Then from this one of a kind yardage the caftan was cut and sewn. I think a blouse would be dynamic made from scarves. Or a nightgown.
