I met Eleanor at a quilt show in Julian, CA about 7years ago when we were visiting grand daughter and hubby. He was deployed for 6 months. We really saw southern Calif. I was showing my daugher and grand daughter the lovely blue and yellow she does and she stepped around the corner and said,"I am so glad you like my fabric". I just about fainted. A year or so later the fire destroyed part of the town of Julian. She lived up in the hills and did escape the flames.

Yes at the lancaster Quilt show and I have the picture to prove it. I just wished I had her books with me to be autographed. She was very warm and friendly. Her family is from western pa so we talked about that. She seem very much down to earth.

I saw her signing books and chatting with people at the quilt show in Ontario, CA earlier this year. She seems like a very lovely person.

I would love to meet her - I love her show that I get on RFD TV. She strikes me as a "real" lady as well as real hoot to boot.

Yes, there are 2 guilds in our area and they each have a yearly visit from her sister Pat Knoechel showing quilts and explaining the new methods used and shortcuts for making the quilts in their newly published books. Some times Eleanor comes if she anywhere near the area. They are really lovely, friendly and classy ladies. It is always a fun and exciting evening. Everyone with an opportunity to see one of their seminars should go you will have no regrets. Ruth
