So there she sat all by herself yesterday at the Salvation Army. I started to not even look...the cover was nasty and not too appealing, but I decided to take a peek anyway. Took the cover off and there sat the prettiest, shiniest little Kenmore 1912 model ever. Born in 1975, she is all metal, a bit heavy...but gorgeous!
I was determined to be strong....I didn't need her, but when hubby offered 10 bucks and they accepted....I couldn't contain my excitement! Took her home for a test drive and she is smooth as silk. This girl obviously hasn't been out of the box long. I am thinking she is my new favorite, but don't tell the other 4-5 machines that. |
Wow, what a wonderful find. She is a beauty. Thank you for sharing.

It's okay. You're amoung friends. My addiction had lead me to "adopt" 13 sewing machines. :-) Love your new toy.

I won't tell your other ladies either. Blessings, Sandi |
Hi Alderdweller! A great find. My Kenmore, bought in 1976 is still going strong and she gets along fine with my 2 Janomes :)
