What is the easy way to change the size of a block, I have a star pattern that is 8" finished. I would like to change the size to 12" ???
By the way my name is Colleen, I live in Utah and having be quilting for about 4 yrs or so. I try and attend different work shops so that I can learn more, but sometimes it to much. I'm getting ready to start a quillt for my niece and her husband. I done this for all the married kids, when they reach one year. The block I found is only an 8" block and I want to enlarge it. So help!!!!! |
No advice on your problem but welcome from another Colleen in Seattle.

Hello, and welcome from Idaho!
It depends on the block, if you tell us what it is we can probably help you. |
The block is called LeMoyne Star, using half square triangles

Look up a site like quilterscache.com and see if they have a 12" one there that you could use.

I found a block on-line, if this is like the block I can help.
http://www.ideas-for-quilting.com/le...uiltblock.html Your squares should be 3 1/2". I would make the half square triangle with 4 1/2" squares and square them to 3 1/2". |
