Help with colors

I know with all your wonderful wisdom someone will be able to help me. I need an online fabric store that I can pick the fabrics I want and see them lined up to know if the color schemes are right. I am in need of six different color ranges and I have completely come to a block on this! TIA for any help!

e-quilter.com has a very nice "design wall" feature that lets you push swatches around and also will multiply them for multiple patches. there's also a find-this-color feature that might be helpful. Quite likely other on-line stores have similar features; this one is easy to use.

Try thousandsofbolts.com. They have a color picker tool. Maybe others can tell whether or not it's worked well for them.

If you go to connectingthreads.com and click on freebies, you can then click on design table, and they also have eq layouts.. I tried to cut and paste the link here, but it wouldn't come up...

Kif

I too have used fabric.com and was very happy.
Like that they show what fabrics coordinate too!

I invite you to visit my website; though I don't have a design wall, if you put your "candidate" fabrics in the shopping cart, when you view the cart you will see them all on the same page, which is helpful.

We also show you coordinating fabrics - and these are selected by actually putting the fabrics next to each other and seeing if they work well together, not just in terms of color, but also having compatible visual "texture".

I would really be cautious using a color picker, or any other automated tool. The human eye responds to color and design differently than a computer does.

I agree that this site is very good - have used it many times.

www.hawthorne threads.com is to place to go.On their site they instantly show you coordinating fabrics, you can search by color, pattern theme etc. You see a color chart where you point at the color you want and up pops pictures of facbrics in that color. You can even request by exact match or a close one. Just to mention a few of their options . Try it, theit fabrics are also reasonably priced, I order a lot, I live in Finland an even with the postage I Find it reasonable
