I have all the pieces cut for my tree blocks in my barn quilt...but I'm confused. :?: I have to use the diagonal seam method to make each level of pine boughs. I've done this plenty of times with a square on a rectangle--piece of cake, but the trees have light and dark pieces that are 2" by 3.5" I'm supposed to do it with. If I try to fold things backwards and figure it out--I'd say I'm supposed to turn the middle green piece at a right angle up to the outside left light piece and at a right angle down for the right piece? There's only a picture for the basic way.

I need you!!

I think using a little tear-away interfacing would help. Even a piece of scrap paper would hold it while you fold and sew.

Okay--I'm not panicking now--I kept playing with it and think I've got it. :D

I can't help, but am interested in a barn quilt. What does it look like?

Patsy--if you go to the picture part and search "barnbum" you'll see the post where I've been posting pictures in progress. It's called something like remember the barn quilt you wanted to see.....

Although I've not made much progress lately--maybe this weekend!!
