Help find a Pfaff repair person
 

I am not sure I am posting to the best area on this site. Your help with information would greatly be appreciated.
I have a 7530 Pfaff sewing machine. I have had it a number of years and it was always dependable and never a problem. One day two years ago, I turned it on and nothing. Of course I was in the middle of a project I needed to get finished. Well I took it to two different repair persons. Neither could fix it timely because they said it was a electronic board and would take time. I did not have time, so purchased another used machine. Now my poor Pfaff has been sitting and I can not find a person to repair it in my area of NJ. If any one knows of such a person, or where I can get a electronic board, I would greatly appreciate it. I would even be willing to sell it for a nominal amount to someone else to repair or for parts. I can't just put it out on the curb for trash. I thank you for sharing any thoughts or suggestions. Have you tried the Viking dealer; they do it here. They are now being combined in the same shop which makes since because they are made by Viking. If you aren't sure where one is, go to Vikings web site and you can enter your location and they'll let you know the closest one

Pfaffs are such awesome machines, I think I'd repair and keep it before selling it for parts. Good luck to you. Just glad you were capable of buying a backup with no advance notice! I always have a backup. (That's a white lie---I have many backups.)

Does the 7500 series still use batteries? The older machines did, and you were supposed to change the batteries (AA)
yearly. This was a common problem years ago. Dealers didn't tell you to change batteries, and now if you buy one of these machines used with no manual, you have no way of knowing. Look at the underside of the machine - if there is a compartment that says open - you need batteries. It was grouped with the 1400 series which DID need batteries.

I have a Pfaff Expression and bought it at the Allentown Sewing Machine Company (ASMO). Bill, the owner, does the cleanings and repairs. They also have a great selection of machines, fabrics and notions. It really is a quilt store even though it doesn't sound like. I'm not sure how far this is from you, but they are very nice and knowledgeable people. That's why I decided to buy my machine there and I live in Delaware. Hope this helps.

My Pfaff's have been wonderful machines. I did get a new "Mother board" but well worth the money. You might try going to the Pfaff web site.

We have an awesome Pfaff shop in Knoxville called Sewing Machines Etc. Dave is the tech and he will not do you wrong. If you end up having to ship for service give him a call at 865-690-7770. I hope you get your machine fixed. We love our Pfaffs!

I have 4 Pfaff 7570's and they do have batteries, 2 in the bottom, but here is the thing the batteries are for keeping the memory for your patterns, I took mine out, and the light comes on each time I turn on my machine saying to change the battery, no worries I just push button for the stitch I want to do and away we go. I do not have the designer, (well I do have one but have no idea how to use it, and do not have a computer old enough to work with it! ) so no need for the battery's. When I want to do embroidery I just pop in one of the cards and it works just fine.
If you need another I hope you can can find one, it would be so worth it, the older Pfaff's are wonderful machines and I would not part with mine! good luck, I have a great repair man here in western KY, but might be too far for you to ship your machine. (had a 7570 shipped to me from TX and it arrived broken, not worth getting it fixed, so be super careful if you ship it)
