o.k. got most of it done, will show pics later in the week. need help with
1. what do i neame it,all responses considered 2. what do i do for a border. not much bug fabs here either. any suggestions for new blocks are welcome. you all have great ideas, so thanks in advance |
My minds a blank....maybe when I see the pics it will spark some creativity:)
I agree, pix would help with thinking of a name ... but what is wrong with 'funky bugs'?
Ditto on the need a pic for ideas!
More likely to have something that "suits" the quilt if we do. What comes to mind is ... Buggy for Bugs! Just Bugs Bugged |
A friend made a "cabinet" as a border for hers. I would suggest a dark border to enclose those bugs, visually. If you do applique, a couple of bugs on the border might be nice.
I too am waiting for the pic
o.k. i'mat the library, will photo tonight and post later, maybe mon or tues. it's not tog yet, i'm adding a fly swatter, a shoe and a can of bug spray.
Being that you're facing the bug control issue, straight up, then ..... how about adding a big boot to smoosh those bugs out???? :)
What a "bugger"!
Do you want some more bug fabric? I just finished bugs in a jar and have some small pieces I will share with you. Mine is just bugs in jars. Do you want to name yours "Don't bug me?" Why is it important that it has a name? Bugs are just bugs!
If she doesn't, I do. Those are perfect for my kid charity quilts.
ooey gooey...its out of a poem.
Ooey Gooey was a worm and what a worm he was he sat on the railway tracks the train he did not see OOEY GOOEY!! |
i'd love bug fabric, i want to name it onthe label
thanks |
any bug fabs would be great, to use as fillers, i'm also putting words in it, like i do with all my funky quilts. lost the camera, when i find it i will post the pic.
thanks all |
For bugs, what kinds of bugs you have? I am sure you included the lady bug, but how about a piece of chewed holely wood that the termites got to? You need an eaten piece of fruit or sweet of some kind for the ants. Then in the border, you could embroidery a couple of spider webs for those silly bugs that show up. Now, did you include the butterfly with her flower to sit upon? then how about the cocoon, a worm eating a leaf, then a water skipper sitting on a lily pad or by one? Hope that helps. I do like the "Don't Bug Me" name.
