i would just do a in the ditch stitch around all the squares even the littler ones in side the squares and if i was feeling going out on a limb i might do a meandering stitch or better yet a feather pattern in a very light color or a beige in your border

I would meander in the large squares and do a quarter inch in on the pieced square

and then stitch in the ditch for the borders and then meander in the larger boarder

Its a simple pattern, so some fancy stitching would look good. It should show up well. Do you do your own longarm work. :?: You could use hearts and flowers, or water waves. Wait to hear it speak

Hi, have you tried going to youtube and when you get there, simply type in long arm quilting. You will find lots of ideas. One of my favorite ones (it's not found there however) is an all over star and loop pattern. It's very attractive and quite forgiving. It would look good on the quilt you have posted.
