I need help from my fellow quilters! I have a hard time with linings - for totes, purses......I just can't seem to get them to fit nice and snug. I have marked center and side points, I have basted, pinned, ironed.....still will not lay flat. I like the finished look, please give me some suggestions on how to achieve this! I did the small purse that was displayed some time back. The purse is just the right size for my 3 yr old granddaughter, but again, had a difficult time with the lining.

How are you sewing the lining in?
I have a great tute that I use for my totes. I have tweaked the pattern since it doesn't show pockets or anything. |
Thanks for the link. :) I have been closing the lining from the top, not the bottom, and the linings are too big when I flip it RSO. I am anxious to try this method!

Here's the link if anyone else wants it.
http://esostarikaknitfo.blogspot.com...-tote-bag.html I've done both ways. I like closing it from the bottom better. I also, sew around the top at 1/2 inch, then when I flip it right side out, I sew around the top again at 1/4 inch. |
Great Tute!!! :D :D :D
