Help make my final decision please
Ok, i've narrowed it down to purchasing either the Brother PC 210 or tha Janome HD 1000. Its gonna be one of these as they are in my price range and both seem to meet my needs with good reviews. I like that the Brother has an available extension table and a drop in bobbin. On the other hand, the Janome is heavy duty and made of metal instead of plastic. Please help! Which do you recommend? I think majority will win here. Thanks

I bought a Babylock for myself for my birthday a couple years ago and loved it after using a 30 year old Singer. But then I found a Janome on Craigslist for a song and bought it. The Janome is a joy. I'd recommend Janome.

janome because its all metal.....

I love my Janome. I've had her for 10 years, and never had a repair. She is a real workhorse and loves any thread I give her. Go with the Janome and the metal parts.

I'm a brother lover so you know my vote, never had a bad one had all mine for years plastic and all

It's a very personal decision and I'd vote for the one that has service and help the closest to you.

Janome gets my vote. And I prefer a vertical bobbin, anyway, so for me, the drop-in bobbin is a disadvantage, not a plus.

Janome gets my vote too. I love my mine and get hours of no problem sewing from her. However please take into consideration the sound advice mucky gave you about closeness of service and advice. Happy new machine which ever way you go, I am sure you will be very happy together.

The HD1000 is a great machine...but keep in mind..it doesn't have metal gears...none of them do these days. It does have a 1.0 amp motor...and a perfect straight-stitch. Maybe you can get an extension table to fit it.
