Help! My new table isn't slippery!
1 Attachment(s)
About a month ago I got a Brother 1500s, and it is absolutely wonderful for doing piecing and qulilting!! I just bought a table for it as you can see in my picture. My problem is the table top isn't slippery and my fabric doesn't move easily on it. Any one have any suggestions? I can't think of anything that won't get on fabric (pledge, etc).

Sullivan's Silicone Spray for Sewing. Hancock Fabrics. 10.00 w/o coupon.

Got some Pledge? A light coating well rubbed in won't hurt fabric.

Where did you find the table? I have that machine and your table looks much larger than mine.

Car wax will work well.

Armorall is great for slides aand for waxing your bosses seat.

Yup, car wax or Pledge will work just fine. :)

I use Turtle Wax F21 Super Protectant. It's a spray product to protect the leather and plastic trim on cars, but NOT on the steering wheel. About once a year I put on the surface of my sewing machines (Viking Designer I's) and the tables they sit on. Then I have to be sure to put the rubber shelf matting under the machines so they don't slide around. With F21 on the surfaces I don't need a special mat for free motion work. And a 10 oz. bottle is under $5.00.

I never would have thought about carwax!
I got the table from Dr. Danes Sewing Machine Hospital. Great service and it was easy to put together. I have another table just like it that has my industrial maching in it. I like it because the height is adjustible. I'm tall and need to be able to get under my machine! http://drdanessmh.com/customcpvbt.html |
