I have a Elan Quilter's Dream and love it. My husband surprised me with an Elan 8600 Xplore Embroidery machine for my birthday. The manual saysd I could download from the internet but the dealer did not know the required format. I have 30 days to try it out and return if not satisfied. I am shocked at the price and don't know if it will work with internet downloads. I would really appreciate any advise or comments on those of you that have experience with embroidery machines or with this particular machine. Thanks.

I have a different brand. My machine plugs into my computer and I download all the time. My machine will use several formats. Maybe someone here can help with your specific machine.

I just did a google search and it said .jef format.

Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate that info. I downloaded in that format and it WORKED.
