Help with octagon kaleidascope blocks

I have looked and looked and cannot find what degree I should use to cut my triangles for the 8 section kaleidascope blocks. Any suggestions? Helppppppp!! Please.

Full circle is 360° ... so if you're wanting 8 equal parts, that'd be 360°/8 = 45°.

thank you so much, my brain just would NOT do that for me today. Gotta love the fibrofogs. LOL Hugs and smiles.

Yep, 45 degrees. Another method is know ing that a 4 sided object has 90 degrees, so a figure with multiple of 4 would have the number of sides likewise divided by that number.
4 sides = 90 degrees
8 sides = 45 degrees
16 sides = 22.5 degrees.
etc.

Great info. Thank you!

The really sad thing for me today is that I even had the 90 degree number and STILL couldn't come up with the 45. Does that tell you a little about what it's like to live in the fog?
