So hard to help without pics. If you go to the QB Help Forum you can learn how to upload pictures.

Do you have the name of the pattern you want to try? There are different ways of doing a Tumbling Block pattern and Lone Star pattern without Y seams but without knowing what pattern you want to do, I can't say.

yes, a pattern name would definitely help. We can look it up if you are having problems posting pictures. Tartan, so smart ;-)

In order to get the 3D effect and the shading of that pattern, I believe you would have to construct it as written.

Tartan, thank you...I thought that might be the case, but no harm in asking for an easier way..Time and patience will out..If you want something lovely take your time.

Beautiful quilt but even I would construct it the way it is written to get the effect.

I have just downloaded and read instructions. If you mark 1/4 inch exam and intersection clearly you should have no problems if you go slow in this area. It is a beautiful pattern and for I think it was 4 areas the rest is so easily done . Have some practise on stash fabric until you feel comfortable. Think about how many 3 point turns you did before it was right.
