Could anyone tell me what would be the best for the sandwich. It is for her radiation treatments. I was told the patients get cold but I don't know if I should use batting or maybe just muslin. I don't want to make it so she gets too hot. Any input would be appreciated.

i'm not sure, but i've also seen on this board that it shouldn't be heavy at all.

Wildyard very generously made me a quilt to take with me to my chemo sessions and I find the batting to be perfect - it is not too hot at all. The treatment centers definitely tend to keep the rooms on the cold side.

I like the Fairfield Quilters 80/20. It's thin and flexible but warm.

You could use flannel...lightweight and warm too.

I would go with a natural product that will breathe, like cotton ,wool or bamboo as opposed to poly.

I would go with something like Warm and Natural. The room is often cold.

I've made many prayer quilts and use "Quilters Dream". it is very light weight and soft and has very nice drape. Quilts well with both hand and machine. Everyone likes the quilts too! prayer quilts are a wonderful, giving project.

I used warm and natural for my Mom's. She did get cold easily and she loved the warmth.
