Help!!!!!!!
 

I cut the fringe on three fleece blankets on my cutting board and I think that I runined it. I used a brush to try and get the fuzz out of the cuts, but it does not look good. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean or repair it or will I have to purchase another one? Thanks,

Try using a gum eraser on it to see if it will pick up the fuzz.

are you talking about a 'self-healing' rotary cutter mat? or a kitchen cutting board?
fine grain sand paper will clean up your self-healing mat (might work on a cutting board too- depends on what it is make out of.
also a 'green pad' (scrubby) or a magic eraser may clean up your mat...did you use a rotary cutter? or some other tool? i've always used scissors to cut fleece- but have had a problem like you describe from cutting batting squares.

You can soak the matt in the tub, they always can use a little cleaning, will help to open pours and loosen threads then use a a green scrub lightly on it.

To do routine clean of fuzzy cuts I use the nozzle on my vacuum cleaner.

If I have been cutting batting I use a scrap piece of the batting and rub over the fuzzies. Gets most of them out.

Ckcowl, yes I meant to say I used my self-healing cutting mat and used the rotary cutter.

I have an older, junkier self healing mat that I use for cutting anything that isn't fabric ie: fleece, batting, foam core board, etc. I have used the kitchen scrubbie thingy with good results.

I have found that if I get someone to bend the mat upwards so that it opens up the slits in the mat, then I can use either an eraser or wide scotch tape to clean out the fuzz.
