I was using colored chalk to mark my quilt for quilting, and now it won't come off! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the marks? Also, the quilt is not entirely quilted yet, it is pink chalk and I am entering it in the fair so it has to come out!

Did you try a damp sponge? What color is the quilt? What have you tried?

Sorry, hope something works for you.

I resorted once to using an old (not current) tooth brush head in my electric toothbrush. I used it lightly, hoping it would brush away the chalk, because I was desperate. It worked reasonably well, but I think would depend on colors. If you think you might try this idea, I would recommend you use it on a piece of scrap fabric first, just to see if it would work, and to make sure it wouldn't affect the fabric surface.

I think the damp sponge is a great idea!

I always wash mine as soon as I am through quilting them, but some do not, so try the sponge thing! Hope it comes out!

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works great!
