for my Janome Heart Truth. On Janome's website, it says to get 1/4 inch Seam Foot O Part Number: 200318000. A google search comes up with nothing. Only references back to Janome's website, which doesn't sell anything. :( or it being included in machine packages. Not any way to order it separately.

I found a part # 200008107 that looks the same. Altho, the Heart Truth (HT2008LE) is not included in the list of compatible machines. Perhaps because the HT is so new??? It also made vague reference to high/low shank...whatever the heck that is. ????

The place I bought my machine at doesn't have any. Says they are on back order and have been for the last month with no clue as to when they'll get them in. She says that I shouldn't get a generic one, but probably so she can make the sale.

Does anyone know if this alternate part #200008107 is compatible with the Heart Truth? Or where I can find part #200318000? Or if there is a generic one that I can use until the "real" one is available and where I can get it?

High or low shank is how the foot connects to the bar. does it snap on or do you have to screw the foot on? Low shank is usually snap on type. why don't you ask Jan at the Janome site.

The 1/4" foot that I bought is a generic foot and it works just fine with my machine. If you look online there are a number of sewing/vacuum dealers and other retailers that sell these feet. If you email or call them you can find out if they will work on your machine. Here is one that Patrice posted and I bought and love it too! I finally can get a accurate 1/4" AND a scant 1/4" too.

My feet screw on. I think. I had to take the whole contraption off last weekend because my material got jammed in there and I had to unscrew it. But I'm wondering....I'll have to look at it closer tonite.

Ok, I just went to sewingmachineplus.com, where I found the "alternate" part yesterday. TODAY, they have the Janome part # in () next to their part number. I swear on my HT machine, it was NOT there yesterday. :?

So this alternate part is the same. So, I'll order it.

I found it!!!

I called another local dealer...well 20 miles away local...and they have the 1/4, the walking foot, and the stitch in the ditch foot. Woot!!

She said if I bring in my machine, she'll check to make sure all the feet fit for me. So I gots me some shopping to do this afternoon! *happydance* Hopefully she'll have a case for me too. I'm sick of pulling it and out of the box.

I don't know if the stitch in the ditch is the same as, but you should go ahead and get yourself a "walking foot" also if you don't already have one. It is for straight line quilting but keeps your fabric layers from bunching up and crinkling while you sew. It feeds them all in at the same time, it makes a "huge" difference!!!!!! :lol:

I read that the stitch in a ditch foot was for when I wanted to quilt along the seams? Which I was planning on doing for a smaller quilt I am going to do. Is that right? Or would it be better to just stay with the walking foot?

If you can afford to it would be nice to have both. :D

Are they that expensive? I thought they were under $20 each.

Walking feet are about $30. I think I paid $12 for the 1/4" foot. I have a Brother CS6000, and I use generic feet, although my Bernette feet fit, as does my Singer feet. The walking foot has to be non-generic usually.

I already got them. Thanks, tho! I got the walking foot, 1/4in, the free motion, and a case. All for about $120 total.

I've already posted my progress on my MM quilt in the pictures forum. Haven't really touched it since then.

I think my blocks are all done, now I'm practicing the quilt-as-you-go, so it will be a while until it's complete.

I do have smaller projects that I'm working on in the meantime. I just want to get one completely completed already! :lol:

I got mine at my dealers. They only sell Janome & Bernina. I got a few feet for my Kenmore since it is made by Janome, it fits fine. I have the snap on feet for mine tho.

I got both the 1/4" foot and the stitch in a ditch foot for my Brother's on ebay. I think I only paid $12 or $14 for the both.

Hi, I have a Janome 3022 that I purchased at Handcock Fabric. It has the short shank (the tube like thing that raises your presser foot) Hancock has the short shank and slanted shank, (tilts forward at the bottom of the shank). It is a generic, but is compatible with the Janome. Good luck in your search.
