I ordered one yesterday before the sale ran out and can't wait for it to get delivered. Actually, I still feel kinda sick for spending all that money, but oh, well, it's a done deal now and my christmas, birthday, and anniversary present for the next few years. I waffeled around between all 3 of their machines but bottom line for me was lifetime vs. one year warranty and of course, the dies I really, really wanted were for the studio only. :roll: No one every accused me of being cheap :lol: I figured this would be a lifetime investment for me.

So how do you like your Studio and how is it holding up? I saw that it weighs 35 lbs or so but is it really that hard to move around? I live on a farm and am used to hauling around 50 lb. bags of feed so 35 lbs doesn't sound like that much to me.

Any good sources of "free" patterns? I have EQ so I'm hoping that when I find a pattern with block sizes different than the dies I have maybe I can use that to re-size to be able to use the dies I have. Do you think that will work? I did see in the recent Fabric Trends that one section is for Accuquilt Go directions which I thought was cool.

congratulations! You must be sooo excited. It sounds like so much Fun! I would want the studio also. I mean, my thinking takes me in that direction. If I'm going to spend all that money, why not just go All The Way! Which, I suppose, is why I own no accuquilt. lol... Have Fun.

I have the Studio. It's not the weight of the machine it's the shape too. My husband and I carried into my space together. Could I have moved it myself? Probably as I lift heaver things. But, the way the weight of the machine is distributed would have made it awkward and maybe dangerous. I bought mine used, and I've not had a single problem with it in the several months I've owned it. I have never heard of a single problem from Studio owners. Since I bought it used, I don't have the life time warranty. But at least any new dies I buy will have that. I've never regretted spending more on it. Much sturdier than the Go and won't break on you.

You will love it...I have the go and I love it!!! Only wish it had more choices for dies. I love how I can fold it up and its so light. you will like that you can order more types of dies and choices. I use mostly the 6 1/2 inch squares with my go. I have some free patterns on my blog. I post them as I find ones I like.

Congratulations! After you start using it you'll forget the cost. I thought about the Studio but decided on the GO to see if I would actually use it enough to justify the cost of the Studio. This way I would have the Go to be portable if I decide to buy the Studio. So far I'm very happy with the Go.

I've had my Studio for about a year now. I love it! I've done trunk show demos for quilt guilds. It's not that hard to move around, just a bit awkward. I have a friend who has one as well, so we can swap dies. You'll have so much fun!!
