Welcome to the Quilting Board! As you can tell already everyone here is so helpful and friendly! Glad to have you on board! :)

dkabasketlady 01-19-2010 11:48 AM

Thanks! Have you made one before and what skill level is this? Do you know if there are any pictures posted of a delectable mountain quilt that someone has made? I'm going to enjoy this message board. I'm new to quilting and I appreciate all the help I can get.

That's pretty but it has way too many points for me to play with.

littlehud 01-19-2010 12:26 PM

That's pretty. I can see why you want to do it.

I have the book by Eleanor Burns from Quilt in a Day. If you go to her web site they have a lovely pattern of Delectable Mountains in two different sizes. I like the miniture and have done several of them. Also the pattern for the reg. size quilts are in it also. Marge

Thank you, I'm going to the quilt in a day website now and will order the book while I'm on there.

Amazon has it used for $13.00. The book comes with a ruler that you need for her technique. It is a very easy pattern to follow and there are not many points to match, even though it doesn't look that way. I love making it.

they've taken the basic pattern and made more of it, but the beginning is the basic pattern.

Hi, I have one in progress from quiltville.com and it so easy. Love doing it in all different blues and yellows and then mixing it up when putting it together.

dkabasketlady 01-21-2010 08:24 AM

I love your quilt!!!! I did go to the web page and read the directions, then printed them off. It does sound super easy. Thanks for the helpful info. I can't wait to get started on it.

Welcome from Pine Grove, CA!

That is the first I've seen of that block and think it will be a gorgeous quilt. Post pictures, okay?
