Hi!! I'm new but a little bird told me ya'll have classes here ,Once a Month as well as the Block of the Month. Will be watching to see. Hope for something EASY!!!!

Hello and Welcome! The little bird was right, this is a wonderful group of quilting folk who do have block pattern challenges twice a month and the occasional class in Chat. The directions are also here on the Message Board, so if you'd like you can check out the past months and try a block or two. Click on "Block of the Month" from the main page and check it out. If you post a picture, it'll appear as a new message and we'll all get to see.

Things may have settled down a bit with the holidays...but keep watching! You'll be as inspired as I am, I'm sure. Everybody's so creative and helpful here.

each chat leader decides independently if and when to do a class. if a leader decides to give a class and lets me know by pm, i'll be glad to post an announcement in the blue chat schedule notice at the top of "Main".

i will do one in on either the 20th or 27th of January. i'd like to see a "show of hands" to help me decide which date. would also be happy to hear some suggestions. you guys know how dangerous it can be to let me make up my own mind. :wink:

Something I haven't had the nerve to try yet that I would love to see a class about is sewing curved seams...like the drunkards path. But that's just me. :D

I don't have a work schedule that far in advance, but I think Jan 27, 08 would be the best date for me. Any subject will be GREAT.

i won't be able to do my next class until the 27th, i'm afraid. it will take until then to get a critical project out of the way so i can do my prep work.

we will tackle the traditional round wedding ring. once i've tested them to make sure they're easy enough to use, i'll post the templates and supplies list. watch for it in the blue area at the top of "Main".

Hi Icesnowquilter nice to meet you, and you will enjoy being a member here! I missed the last hexagon class but was able to learn anyway with all the printed instructions and pictures that have been posted.

Patrice - it is your choice - I am sure we will all be waiting and watching to hear your final answer - kind of like all the little kiddies are doing for the next couple of nights!!!! I marked my calendar for both dates - just in case I forget to look for your posting. But I am sure the chat group will talk about it too - thanks for doing this.

I did a drunkards path that was really fun and machine appliqued from Harriet Hargraves book on mahine applique best of all you can't tell it is appliqued Happy Quilting Dodie
