Home made Templates

I just got back from my local Hardware store which made me 2 acrylic templates to perfect specifications. I just had to sand the edges a little bit with my nail file. I'm working on one of Derek Lockwoods star quilts and didn't like the idea of buying his templates in addition to the pattern. I also don't like making my own templates from the flimsy plastic that you can buy from the store. So, $5.00 later, I'm good to go!!!!! Happy Quilting.

:thumbup:Awesome. What's the difference between acrylic & plexiglass?

I've had my local glass shop do this for me out of plexiglass. Works well! and usually cheaper than the ready made templates

What a great idea. I never thought of doing that. :)

You're lucky. I've asked at Home Depot and here in my town and noone will do that. :(

Have you ever used the heavier acrylic nail files in your sewing room - OPI has some great ones that I just love
