I would love to start quilting my own things and am looking into purchasing a portable home quilting machine.....possibly a Juki TL2000Qi or Elna 7100 speed control quilting machine. Would love to hear your input on those or any other machines. Thank You!!!

I have the Elna Quilting Queen. Just love it!!

Check out the Bailey Home Quilting machines. I have the 13" one, but they come in 15" and 17" too. The website address is http://www.baileyssewingcenter.com/homequilter.html. Not a lot of bells and whistles but built solidly and well priced.

Hi Carmine,
There is literally tons of material on this subject on the QB. I know you can search it out. I have the HandiQuilter, upgraded so it has the ProStitcher. Guess it all comes down to the basics: - your budget - the amount of space you have [I can only use mine up to 8 ft due to lack of space.] - what features you want to have: computerized or not. - does the machine have someone locally who can service it if needed. [HQ does beautiful support. Another HQ owneer had never had her machine in to a shop as the HQ people have talked her through any needed maintenance!] - and then .... which machine do you bond with. Take you time and enjoy the journey. ali |
I love my Juki TL2010Q!
