I'm going on a "crafting retreat" this afternoon. The ladies at my sister's church (about 20 minutes from my house) hold this once every 3 months and have anyone who enjoys crafting sign up. There are scrapbookers, beaders, card makers, and quilters. One lady brings her embroidery machine and it whirs along for hours, plus we even have one male scrapbooker. I'll take my little Janome Gem Platinum and my WIPs and hopefully get a lot accomplished. We go from 4 to 9 pm today and tomorrow from 9 am to 9 pm, plus we're served three meals, all for a very reasonable fee. The church fellowship hall is roomy and the lighting is very good, so it's a great place to work. And one of the best parts is that I can sleep in my own bed at night. I'm soooo ready to get going!!!
