How annoying

Isn't it annoying when you want to start a project but can't find the pattern. I have spent all evening searching for the Indigo Junction Grommet bag pattern. I know I have it ....somewhere. I don't want to order another as I know it will turn up - also hard to find in UK. So spent the evening wondering round the net - fed up! Tempted to start it anyway and see how it turns out - but having spent the afternoon reverse sewing a bit reluctant to.

On another note has anyone made one of these bags? Did you use the soft rope for the handles - if so do you know what it was called and where you bought it? Can feel another web search coming on.

I don't make many bags but I hate it when I find a pattern I want to do, collect all the fabrics I want to use, and then misplace the mag with the pattern in it! I am presently making a sewing studio in a 10 x 16 wooden shed I just bought. After I reclaim my small house I will get all my mags and books in order then I can put all the patterns I want to do in one place! Think I won't misplace then then? Yeah Right!!! LOL

Made five of them and yes you can use soft rope. I used coordinating fabric.

Where did you get your rope?

Here in the United States you can buy the really thick cotton cording for the handles at Joann fabrics stores. You might find it at a place that sells cording for upholstery? Hope your pattern turns up soon.

You will find it when you finish one with out it or right after you buy another pattern. I made my handles out of matching fabric.

Angela, just noticed you're from my side of the pond. Dunelm actually sell all kinds of soft rope/cord in different thicknesses maybe you'll find something there. I often go there and find things I wasn't expecting them to sell.

Thanks Brit_Kitty - will pay them a visit. Given in and ordered another pattern.
