I need to make a design board, or rather my DH is going to make me a design board. Could you tell me how you all made your DW. and if you used flannel or felt? Thanks for the info.

I made mine by tacking off-white or ivory flannel to the wall using staples and then made a border around entire piece using strips of trim boards purchased from home improvement store. I love it.

It's going to be a while till I have a sewing studio but I definately will use your room as inspiration.. I never thought of have a white and dark design board.

Wow, that Threads magazine link is amazing! I wnet to see what other tips they had and there are LOTS of great ones...how to store threads, how to keep track of your fabrics, all kinds of things we've been talking about recently. Thanks for posting it Lilaciris, I've saved it for reference.
